Dr. Blaine O'Reilly
DVM
Dr. Blaine O’Reilly grew up in Huntsville, Ala. He started working at McCurdy Animal Hospital while in high school in the early 1990s. He worked full time at McCurdy Animal Hospital for 3 years in the late 1990s as head technician.
Dr. O’Reilly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Auburn University in 2000, a Master of Science in Animal Science in 2004 and a DVM in 2006, all from Auburn. He completed his Equine Internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in 2007, and was Associate Veterinarian in Winchester, Va., at Equine Medical Services from 2007 to 2008. In January 2008, Dr. O’Reilly returned to McCurdy Animal Hospital as Associate Veterinarian and purchased the practice in July 2011. He is active in organized veterinary medicine as the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association’s delegate to the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Noah Cater
DVM
Born and raised in North Alabama, Dr. Noah Cater is proud to serve the community he calls home. He earned his Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville before receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Auburn University.
Dr. Cater’s journey into veterinary medicine began and McCurdy Animal Hospital, where he gained valuable hands-on experience through shadowing and working alongside the veterinary team prior to attending veterinary school. Today, he has come full circle, returning to McCurdy Animal Hospital as a veterinarian dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats.
Dr. Cater enjoys building lasting relationships with pets and their families while helping patients live healthier, happier lives. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys playing video games, golfing, watching football, and working out. He shares his home with his wife, Kylie, their two dogs, Zeke and Spyro, and their orange tabby cat, Loki.
Dr. Cater is honored to care for the pets of North Alabama and looks forward to serving the community for years to come.
